Day-by-Day Itinerary
Begin your journey in Ouarzazate, driving along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Pass through Skoura Oasis and visit the historic Amridil Kasbah. Continue to Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant blooms, then head toward the dramatic Dades Valley. Enjoy the winding roads and scenic rock formations before arriving at your hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, travel through Tineghier and the palm groves of Todra Valley. Stop at Todra Gorge to admire its towering cliffs and take a short walk. Continue past Erfoud toward Merzouga, where the golden Erg Chebbi dunes rise from the desert. Ride a camel into the dunes at sunset and spend the night in a Berber desert camp with traditional dinner and live music under the stars.
Wake early for a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel through the Ziz Valley’s lush palm groves. Pass through the town of Midelt, then continue via the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you may see Barbary macaques.
