Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive in Morocco’s biggest city and start with the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in the world, set partly over the Atlantic Ocean. Admire its tall minaret and detailed Moroccan-Andalusian design. If time allows, walk along the Corniche, relax in Mohammed V Square, or snap a photo at Rick’s Café before your first night in Casablanca.

Head north to Rabat, Morocco’s coastal capital. Visit Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas with its ocean views. After lunch, drive into the Rif Mountains and reach Chefchaouen, the "Blue City." Wander through blue-painted alleys and spend the night in this peaceful mountain town.

Discover Volubilis, the ancient Roman city and UNESCO site famous for its mosaics and columns. Continue to Meknes to see Bab al-Mansour gate, the royal granaries, stables, and Sultan Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. In the evening, arrive in Fes and settle into your riad.

Join a local guide to explore Fes’s historic heart. See the Royal Palace gate, the old Jewish Quarter, and a panoramic view of the city. Walk through the Medina to visit Al Quaraouiyine University, a madrasa, the colorful tanneries, and artisan workshops. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

Leave Fes for a scenic drive through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Visit a cedar forest to see Barbary macaques, have lunch in Midelt, and continue through the Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara, then ride camels into the dunes for sunset. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp with dinner and Berber music under the stars.

Wake up for a magical sunrise over the dunes. Visit Rissani’s lively market, Erfoud’s fossil workshops, and walk inside Todra Gorge with its towering cliffs. Continue to Dades Valley for an overnight stay surrounded by beautiful rock formations.

After breakfast, pass through Rose Valley, famous for its rosewater products, then visit Skoura Oasis and the historic Amridil Kasbah. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening, ending your Morocco adventure.
