Day-by-Day Itinerary
We pick you up early in Fes and drive through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine houses and cool climate. Continue to a cedar forest where you may see friendly Barbary macaque monkeys. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then follow the scenic Ziz Valley to reach Merzouga in the late afternoon. Ride a camel into the Sahara Desert at sunset and arrive at your luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a night under the stars.
Wake up early for a magical desert sunrise, then have breakfast. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. Visit Rissani’s traditional souk and Erfoud’s fossil workshops before driving through palm groves and villages to Todra Gorge. Take a short walk in this dramatic red-walled canyon before continuing to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit Rose Valley in Kalaa Magouna, famous for its fragrant flowers and rose products. Drive through Skoura Oasis and visit the historic Amridil Kasbah. Continue to Ouarzazate, where you may stop at Taourirt Kasbah or the film studios. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech by evening.
For itineraries with extra time, start the day at Todra Gorge for breathtaking morning photos. Travel through Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis, then visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, famous from films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas back to Marrakech.
